The 2010 Texas Poetry Calendar is now available. I've just received my copy, and it's quite a treat. Editors and publishers Scott Wiggerman and Cindy Huyser did a wonderful job. Kudos also go to David Meischen, Managing Editor, Kristee Humphrey, Cover Designer, Photographer Gerald R. Wheeler who created the cover photograph, and last but not least to Texas Poetry Calendar Judge Poet Mark Doty, whose wonderful poem "Iris Catalogue" opens the calendar / poetry collection. One of my itty bitty Haiku poems was just accepted for publication in the 2010 Texas Poetry Calendar. Ah, but my tiny poem describes a great big subject--not to be revealed prior to publication. The 2009 Texas Poetry Calendar can still be purchased for just $7 at Dos Gatos Press. This is a beautifully done calendar/book and inspirational enough to serve as a journal where you can make personal notes on your daily life, thoughts, and insights, and why not, write a poem of your own.
